My head hurts and my kid is teething again and not sleeping or eating well. that sums up my life right now.
1. the swing- he never really liked it and we didn't use it as much as we could have.
2. the baby carrier- hot sling and bjorn -although i still have a bit of hope that we might get him to like it, i fear he will be too heavy.
3. the bumbo- we borrowed a friends and honestly our kid was sitting up too well on his own to use it.
4. swaddle blankets- he hated being swaddled.
I think that is it for now, i will write more if I think of it.
By suggestion, I am publishing my must haves for a baby. At least the stuff we ended up liking or that kai did. Some of the items were hand-me-downs, but most were items we registered for or bought.
These are not in ranked order
1. The boppy pillow- I found this great not only for feeding, but also for sitting kai in when he was tiny and now it is good to put behind him when he is sitting so he doesn't thud if he falls over. I must also mention that boppy provides great customer service. One of my covers had the zipper break and they replaced it, I just had to return the old one and they sent two new ones to replace it.
2. The exersaucer- He loves it and would live in it if we let him. It saddens me that he will out grow it in a few months.
3. activity mat- another item that kai loves and wasa able to use from a month or so on, he still enjoys it when I remember to get it out for him to play with.
4. Fisher Price Bathtub- he hated it when he was little, but now he loves it. This is good for using from birth on and I only wish he could use it for longer.
5. Chicco Key Fit Carseat/Base- Although I now curse its existence because my son weighs to much to carry around in it, I love the carseat and the ease of which it locks into the base and comes back out.
6. Aveeno Bath wash- It is a splurge, but oh it smells so good.
7. playtex drop-ins - the bottles and the drop in liners are really easy to use and store.
8. Pampers- the smell good and are absorbant- all that really matters
9. the bouncy seat- a life saver, my kid doesn't tend to nap long and he still will sit in it when i need to shower .
10. the fisher price space saver high chair- we have just started feeding solids, but have been using this for months. He likes to sit in it and it is easy to clean and fits easily on a regular chair.
These are just some of the items, and are just my opinions. If i think of anything else I will add it. Future posts to include clothing and the things that didn't work for us (we didn't like)
Tonight we are going to get the baby's flu booster shot. I don't know who hates baby shots more me or him. He gets so upset. I am hoping that one shot instead of his normal 4 will mean he is less cranky, but I doubt it.
He is supposed to get his polio shot as well, but I am not sure if they will do it at the flu clinic at the doctors office or if it will have to wait until January. I am not worried about him getting polio.
This is a really crappy post, i promise i will work on making them better the rest of the week.
I really do. I could go there everyday if i had the money. I could live there...ok maybe that is a bit much. I do enjoy it throughly though. I have an addiction to the baby clearance section. I do think there is a bias against boy clothes. Tons of girls clothes hardly anything for boys.
Our target also has a mini grocery store so I can avoid having to go to the grocery store when I just need the basics.
My son turned 7 months old today. just yesterday he was a tiny little baby...now not so much.
but not just that sense of time. how do people find time do to do things. I find that my weekends go so fast and then its the work week again. I regret not doing more things when i had free time as now free time doesn't seem to exist.
You know you need to go to the grocery store when the only thing you can find to eat for lunch is birthday cake or cookies.
I work from home twice a week and i find lunch to be the hardest thing. I never seem to have anything. I need to plan better obviously.

today is my birthday. It is also my nephew Jack's birthday. It is fun sharing a birthday. I only wish that he lived closer so that we could have a party together.
Today has been a good day so far. A co-worker made me cookies. My husband and son came to visit for lunch and we had pancakes.
Today on my walk to work, I was walking ahead of a woman who was scuffing her feet.
It lead me to think of those sounds that annoy me
- scuffing feet
- sniffling nose when you have a cold
- snoring
- loud talking on cell phones
Just for sake of contrast sounds I love
- my sons laugh
- the sound of my family getting together at the holidays
- rain, but not thunder. I hate thunder
