By attempting to blog everyday this month, I have learned the following things.

First, I learned that my writting skills have gone out the window or maybe it is that I don't have the time to think of something witty or clever to write.

Second, I obviously need a life or some hobby that doesn't involve home with the baby, as that is all I really wrote about.

Third, I realize that people I know who blog on a regular basis are both more entertaining and better writers as I am sure I wouldn't read my own blog if I wasn't me.

Finally, I have realized yet again that time goes too quickly. Where has November gone, and how is it December already. As I get ready to wash the "first christmas" baby stuff, it is sad that we are running out of first Holidays.

i went out today..without the baby one of the few times other then work that i have left the house without him. My husband and I went out to the movies while kai stayed with his grandma and grandpa. It was exciting to go out , sadly there were no decent movies out that I wanted to see so we went to the james bond movie. It was ok, just not my first or second choice in terms of movie.

The mall where the theater at was so crowded, glad i didn't go shopping today.

We came home and the baby barely seemed to miss us. I fed him some banana mashed (not baby food version) and he was very excited to be eatting it.

As hard as it is being a mom and figuring out what your baby wants, I do adore him.

His chubby cheeks, the ones we saw on the ultrasound.

His soft curly hair, that we wonder if it will stay curly or straight

The two tiny teeth that naw on my fingers, arm, shoulder, elbow and any other place.

The giggle and smile

His tiny toes and fingers.

His eyes that look like mine with hint of his dad.

Who would have thought that one kid could have so many clothes. I have three big totes full of his clothes that he has outgrown. He grows so fast it seems. He is still fitting into his 6-9 month clothes at the moment and luckily some of the stuff is 6-12 so that is good, but everyday I think i find something he has outgrown,

In my brief experiences so far here are my thoughts on baby clothes brands.

Gap/Old Navy- Cute stuff, pretty true to size, need to look for sales and items in clearance racks. Washes well.

Carters- I really like carters, but their sizes throw me off. 6 means 3-6 months and 9 6-9 months which always confuses me. Pretty good quality and nice looking stuff.

Children's Place - Have gotten some nice stuff from their outlets for really cheap. Also good online sales. Quality is nice.

Circo- a Target brand, cheaper quality but for the price you can't beat it. Seems to shrink pretty easily.

Gerber- I have had no luck with gerber items. They seem to shrink and run small to begin with. We were given a bunch of these onesies and he has hardly wore any of them.

Here are my other preferences

Pajamas- Carters or any other zip up blanket sleeper. My kid never liked the sleeper sack , it was too restricting and I find zippers better then bunches of buttons.

Right now I prefer onesies to t-shirts, but I know that will change as he gets bigger.

a bit early for the holiday but never too early to be thankful

I am thankful for

My family. Although I am sad that I won't see many of them on Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to the full house of Christmas

My friends - You know who you are and how I couldn't have gotten through these last few months and my zillion questions without you.

My husband- for putting up with my mommy brain and my lack of attentiveness. For Loving me for who I am

My son - for making me smile every day

a short work week- only one more day

many other things, but those are the big ones :)

I was late to join, never thinking it would have anything to offer me. Thinking it was useful for college students and that was about it. I joined because my sister asked me to. Now, I am addicted. I check it every day wondering what people I know now or knew way back when are up to.

I have over 100 friends. Friends being people I went to College, High School, worked or work with now, people I am related to or became friends with along the way.

It is fun to see what has happened to people. To see how many of my friends are now having kids or where people live and work.

It is addictive. Maybe not like Crack, i wouldn't know for sure, but definitely addictive.

Who would have thought that my life would revolve around sleep. or lack there of.

Most everyone who reads this blog knows that I have a seven month old son who is my pride and joy. Some of you may not know that he is not the easiest kid to get to sleep.

When he was a few months old he used to be up all night screaming and the only thing that seemed to work was rocking him. And so we rocked and then I discovered that my exercise ball served the same purpose. So I bounced or rocked him to sleep.

I have thought many a time of trying a sleeping technique, but I don't have the heart to let him cry it out and so we continue on our path of rocking or doing what we can to help him sleep.

When he goes to sleep he sleeps well most nights 8 hours or so in a row.

Tonight, as I bounced him on the bouncy ball, the ball broke..... literally.

I ended up just walking and rocking him, and he is sleeping now, but I wonder how things are going to go the next few days.
